1 Do not touch or move items
Do not pick up drone parts or other suspicious objects. Never dismantle, carry or keep them as souvenirs. Appearance cannot reliably establish whether a dangerous charge is present.
2 Remain outside the danger area
Do not approach for photographs or cleaning. Keep children and animals away and respect responder cordons. Do not cross unfamiliar ground to inspect or mark an object at close range.
3 Report accurate information
From a safe location, tell 112 where it is and what you already observed. Do not return for more details. With casualties, assess safety first and follow the dispatcher; avoid creating additional casualties.
Practical checklist
- No touching or moving objects.
- Children and animals kept away.
- Restricted areas respected.
- A report from a safe location.
